Order Management/Purchasing Agent Level II

Location: Hyderabad, India.

What you will do:

  • Oversee Procurement Excellence: Manage the requisition of goods and services for Lonza AG, ensuring all selections strictly align with current procurement policy guidelines regarding price, quality, and delivery.

  • Manage Complex Requisitions: Review and validate purchase requisitions and approval workflows for indirect products, services, and CAPEX across several international sites.

  • Drive Order Fulfillment: Place purchase orders, secure order confirmations, and proactively expedite orders to guarantee on-time delivery.

  • Provide Expert Support: Act as the first level of support for the Ariba helpdesk and address internal/external queries related to procurement processes.

  • Monitor Supplier Success: Track supplier performance and partner with strategic buyers or category managers to resolve identified issues.

  • Promote Automation: Advocate for the use of e-catalogues (Ariba) and other approved buying channels to increase process automation and efficiency.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with requisitioners, cost center owners, and global suppliers to ensure seamless procurement operations.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience: Advanced professional background with 4+ years of experience specifically within Procurement and Order Management.

  • Education: A University Degree is required for this role.

  • Language Skills: Business fluent in English.

  • Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of SAP Ariba and procurement approval workflows.

  • Analytical Agility: A problem-solver who supports a culture of process improvement and understands the business impact of their actions.

  • Customer Focus: Ability to identify and deliver on the specific needs of internal and external customers.

  • Integrity & Quality: Committed to ensuring all requisitions are raised in strict accordance with the Lonza purchasing policy.
