In this role, you will manage and maintain accurate capacity data for personnel and equipment within Planview, ensuring resources are effectively aligned with operational requirements. You will analyze capacity utilization, balance demand and supply, and develop scenarios to address resource constraints, bottlenecks, or excess capacity. Additionally, you will implement schedule adjustments and recommend actions through established escalation processes to support efficient department performance and achievement of business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Manage and maintain resource, capacity, and demand data within the Planview planning system to support operational and financial planning.
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Planners, Demand Planners, and Department Heads to analyze capacity constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor people and equipment capacity, ensuring accurate updates for S&OP, tactical planning, and scheduling activities.
  • Analyze capacity utilization and create scenarios to balance workloads, optimize resources, and update production schedules.
  • Provide capacity planning data and insights to Network Supply Planners to support constrained supply planning and decision-making.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve capacity risks, scheduling conflicts, and high-impact operational issues with key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process analysis, performance monitoring, project support, and participation in cross-functional planning and review meetings.

What we are looking for:

  • BSc/MSc degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a scientific services, operations planning, or capacity planning environment.
  • Experience working with electronic planning and ERP systems, preferably SAP and other planning tools.
  • Strong understanding of scientific operations, cross-functional processes, site network interactions, and drug development programs to support effective capacity planning.
  • Proficient in project management, data analysis, business intelligence tools, and reporting to drive informed decision-making.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, and adaptability skills, with the ability to manage changing demands and optimize resource utilization.
