PI Engineer (EI&C)
Connecting shop-floor automation with enterprise analytics in Visp, you will spearhead the administration, optimization, and integration of our site-wide OSIsoft PI Data Historian platform to drive biopharmaceutical manufacturing excellence.
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:
Drive site-wide data reliability by administering and maintaining the PI Data Archive, interfaces, connectors, and underlying server infrastructure.
Architect and configure PI Asset Framework (AF) hierarchies, templates, attributes, and Event Frames (EF) to monitor bioprocess operations.
Develop, maintain, and optimize PI Analytics calculations, KPIs, and advanced data evaluation solutions.
Design, implement, and troubleshoot robust interfaces connecting PI with DeltaV, PLCs, SCADA, MES, and LIMS.
Build custom integrations and applications leveraging PI SDK, AF SDK, PI Web API, REST APIs, and SQL databases.
Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Automation, Data Analytics, and IT teams to power reporting tools like Power BI.
Ensure GxP compliance, author system documentation, and support CSV (Computer System Validation) and data integrity protocols.
What we are looking for:
Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Hands-on expertise with OSIsoft PI System architecture (PI Data Archive, AF, Event Frames, PI Analytics, and Interfaces/Connectors).
Practical experience with API development and scripting (PI Web API, PI SDK/AF SDK, REST, SQL).
Strong background in IT/OT infrastructure, including network topology, database management, and virtualized environments.
Working knowledge of industrial automation systems (DeltaV, PLCs, SCADA) and enterprise manufacturing applications (MES, LIMS).
Prior experience operating within GxP/GMP-regulated manufacturing environments, adhering to computer system validation and data integrity standards.
Professional fluency in English; German proficiency is a strong advantage.
