The Laboratory Technical Trainer at Lonza AG offers an outstanding opportunity to be at the forefront of world-class training services in the life sciences sector. Based in Slough, UK, this role is essential in ensuring flawless technical training for laboratory and technical services departments. You will be instrumental in supporting department leads and the site training department by maintaining and delivering top-tier technical training for core activities. As a Laboratory Technical Trainer, you will uphold common standards of technical excellence and meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements.

• Deliver high-standard laboratory technical training packages consistently

• Conduct induction packages for new starters, improving HR induction and transitioning into role-specific training

• Technically review and complete training documents to the Lonza DI standard

• Plan, coordinate, and assist in implementing training activity schedules and projects

• Manage and communicate training prerequisites

• Communicate training plans to departments, managers, and trainees

• Complete tasks according to schedule, ensuring timely completion

• Sign off and return trainees to their departments fully trained

• Raise any issues or blockers as necessary

• Identify service gaps and assist in crafting and reviewing training materials to address these gaps

• Experience in training within a GMP/regulated laboratory environment

• Proven experience in delivering laboratory-based training is desirable

• Comprehensive understanding and ability to perform a range of laboratory techniques such as GPC, ICIEF, CESDS, SoloVPE

• Familiarity with various training approaches, tools, and techniques

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
