Synaffix is a biotech company with a clinical-stage platform technology that enables best-in-class antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and other targeted therapeutics. Synaffix was fully acquired by Lonza in June 2023 and has forged a growing number of collaborations with top tier biotech and pharma companies. The increasing demand of our technology services allows further growth of our organization. To further support this we are seeking a laboratory and facility support specialist that can take up tasks and responsibilities related to laboratory operations.

As a Laboratory and Facility Support Specialist at Lonza AG in the Netherlands, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our laboratory staff across various labs. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to Lonza's ongoing growth and success by ensuring flawless operations of our facilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the ordering of lab disposables, chemicals, and biologicals, ensuring minimal stock levels are maintained.

  • Check incoming goods for accuracy and quality.

  • Coordinate the maintenance of laboratory equipment and provide necessary training and ad hoc instructions to ensure accurate use.

  • Ensure the accurate disposal of laboratory materials and different waste streams.

  • Assist with the acquisition and logistics of laboratory equipment, including shipments to external CROs worldwide.

  • Help develop standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and EHS regulations.

  • Act responsibly, diligently, and conscientiously in all tasks.

  • Perform other duties as assigned while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key requirements:

  • MLO degree in the field Allround laborant

  • An essential and diligent approach.

  • Collaborative and sociable character with strong communication skills in basic English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proven ability to work with relevant software programs, including MS Office.

  • Strong affinity for laboratory safety and handling chemical materials.
