The successful candidate will join Lonza’s Cell, Gene and Therapy (CGT) division in Singapore as a Process Engineer or Material Scientist, based on experience. This role supports the timely transfer of customer manufacturing processes and contributes to activities such as process development, validation, troubleshooting, technology transfer, optimization, compliance, and documentation.
What you'll do:
Lead or support technology transfer and scale-up of manufacturing processes
Collaborate with global teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful implementation
Conduct lab-scale experiments and troubleshooting as needed
Author and review technical documentation and training materials
Monitor production runs, ensure GMP compliance, and drive process improvements
Provide on-floor support during campaigns and manage change controls
Participate in audits and regulatory inspections
Material Scientist Focus:
Lead material assessment and continuous improvement projects
Serve as SME for materials-related investigations and global discussions
Manage quality event (CRF, NC, CAPA) and contribute to audit readiness
Stay current with advances in CGT materials and mentor team members.
What we're looking for:
Degree in Science or Engineering; 5–10 years in process development or life sciences
Deep knowledge of cell and gene therapy, GMP, and aseptic manufacturing
Strong collaboration and communication skills with both clients and internal teams.
