Join Lonza Bend as a Scientist III in Product Development to collaborate with a dedicated team on groundbreaking scientific projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement technical strategies for multiple programs with an advanced understanding of a fundamental field and a working knowledge of all relevant areas.
- Craft and implement model-based studies, applying fundamental scientific theories.
- Apply a wide range of laboratory techniques to conduct experiments with high technical quality.
- Communicate experimental designs and results, both written and verbal, to internal teams and clients independently.
- Leverage scientific literature to support the development of innovative technologies and solutions, acquiring knowledge to solve new challenges.
- Mentor colleagues, providing regular feedback to foster a collaborative and inclusive laboratory environment.
- Select appropriate models for data analysis and interpretation, understanding the underlying derivations.
- Apply advanced knowledge of technology selection, analytical methods, characterization tools, and process design.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to achieve goals and deliver innovative solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, enhanced intellectual property, and growing value offerings to clients.
- Support GMP method development activities as an SME, including risk assessments, investigations, troubleshooting, and new product specifications.
- BS/MS in Chemistry or Engineering-related technical field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or an entry-level Ph.D.
- Promote safety and uphold high-quality standards in all work performed.
- Demonstrated curiosity and strong foundation in hypothesis testing, chemistry, material science, and data quality and integrity.
