Job Title: Scientist II, Process Analytical Technology
Location: Portsmouth, NH (On-site)
We are looking for a Purification Scientist II to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will design and execute experimental studies that support the evaluation and implementation of Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) for mammalian manufacturing processes. You will contribute to the development of innovative PAT solutions supporting the purification of monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and emerging biologic modalities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality scientific outcomes.
This role follows a Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30PM schedule.

What you will do:
- Lead defined scientific work packages and deliver results against project objectives
- Design, execute, and analyze experimental studies supporting PAT development
- Apply scientific expertise to solve technical challenges and improve processes
- Evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with project and business goals
- Generate, interpret, and communicate data to support technical decision-making
- Train and mentor colleagues on scientific techniques and technologies
- Represent R&D as a technical expert with internal and external stakeholders
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
- Experience working within a biotechnology, biologics, or biopharmaceutical laboratory environment
- Strong experimental design, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting process development, analytical technologies, or manufacturing sciences
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate scientific findings clearly
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and scientific excellence
