The Project Manager Supply Chain leads the local implementation of cross functional supply chain planning and execution projects according to Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) Class A principles, processes and metrics. The person facilitates the successful certification as well as preparation of the site to sustain the performance achieved to ensure that the supply chain processes are under control and deliver the necessary service levels. The long term goal is the site MRP II Class A certification.

Key responsibilities:

  • Certification - Responsible for the site certification or project completion within the approved timelines (eg SAP Execution Blueprint, MRP II Class A, SC Audit Remediation)
  • Project Management and Governance - Establish the project structure; define and monitor the project plan together with the sub team leaders; lead the project team and manage the sub team deliverables; Establish and facilitate the local project governance including a local Steering Committee; responsible to assess current process/performance of sub teams status against the project plan
  • Development and piloting MRP II Class A - Develop and implement fit for purpose certification roadmaps, timelines, and key achievements to guide the site towards certification readiness. External support has been secured on this point.
  • Together with Site Leadership Team (SLT) - Work closely with the Site Head and SLT to drive and deliver Class A performance; Drives together with the project team and SLT the implementation of the Class A principles on site
  • Budget - Propose and manage the budget allocated to the projects
  • Performance Management - Support in Root Cause Investigation (RCI) for supply related issues and assess remediation plans.
  • Establish a local super user community - Support the readiness of SAP super users within business processes

Key requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Life Sciences
  • At least 10+ years of work experience in multiple Supply Chain Site Functions with a strong focus on MRP II class A certification experience (preferably in a pharmaceutical GMP environment)
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP and Supply Chain Processes (planning and execution)
  • Masters APICS CPIM professional standards
  • Ability to establish and supervise project delivery. Proven experience with handling multiple local and complex (sub-) projects simultaneously
  • Comprehensive and proven Change Management capabilities  - ability to identify and resolve conflicts
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and coach people on all hierarchy levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or Black Belt certification (preferred)
  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
