Job Title: Biotechnologist III

Location: Portsmouth, NH, (On-site)

As a Biotechnologist III at our Portsmouth site, you will play a key role in upstream production of therapeutic proteins that support patients worldwide. You will operate manufacturing equipment, execute complex processes, and ensure all work meets cGMP and safety standards. This is an onsite role requiring hands-on work and close collaboration. You will also support troubleshooting, lead by example within the team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

This role follows a 12-hour day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a rotating schedule of alternating days: two on, two off, three on, two off, two on, three off (repeating cycle).

What you will do

  • Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment, including CIP and SIP processes

  • Execute production processes following SOPs, cGMP, and GDP requirements

  • Perform advanced laboratory tasks such as sampling, pH, and conductivity testing

  • Troubleshoot routine and non-routine equipment and process issues

  • Review batch records, logbooks, and support deviation initiation

  • Train and support other associates on manufacturing tasks and process knowledge

  • Perform material movements and maintain equipment through cleaning and sanitization

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of upstream bioprocessing experience required; 5+ years in the biotech industry preferred

  • Experience in GMP manufacturing or a regulated biopharmaceutical environment

  • Strong understanding of cGMP, documentation practices, and process flow

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and support investigations

  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing

  • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred
