Capital Projects Procurement Lead – Portsmouth, NH

This is an office-first role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Oversee and execute procurement strategies for major capital expenditure projects with budget responsibility up to $500M.

  • Direct the global and local sourcing of high-value capital equipment, including large-scale bioreactors and specialized process systems.

  • Scope capital projects and lead end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, contract negotiations, and award decisions.

  • Negotiate complex service contracts for Construction Management, Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q), and Engineering services.

  • Partner with global capital project leads to align strategic procurement planning with broader project execution milestones.

  • Manage key internal and external stakeholders through proactive reporting, financial tracking, and progress reviews.

  • Lead contract closeouts, vendor performance evaluations, and final financial reconciliations across completed capital projects.


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s or professional procurement certification preferred.

  • Extensive experience managing high-value capital equipment procurement and large-scale EPC/EPCM service contracts in a regulated biotech or pharmaceutical setting.

  • Proven track record leading multi-million dollar RFPs, negotiating complex vendor terms, and driving strategic sourcing processes.

  • Strong project management capabilities with a successful history of managing capital procurement programs up to $500M.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, business acumen, and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present key reporting metrics to senior leadership.
