Are you ready to shape the future of biopharmaceutical manufacturing? Join our dynamic team in Visp as an EI&C Instrumentation Engineer and play a key role in designing, calibrating, and troubleshooting state-of-the-art process instrumentation and control systems.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Drive the engineering and specification of critical instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, analytical) that directly enables high-quality medicine production.

  • Partner with Automation, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Validation, and Quality teams to support seamless system integration.

  • Design, maintain, and update essential engineering data within COMOS, including instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, and indexes.

  • Support the integration of field devices into DCS, PLC, and SIS control platforms.

  • Supervise site installation, conduct loop checks, and perform troubleshooting during commissioning and startup.

  • Execute GxP qualification activities using digital validation tools (UBIK, Kneat) for IQ/OQ testing.

  • Ensure strict adherence to change control, data integrity, and validation guidelines while championing technical problem-solving and root cause analysis.


What we are looking for:

  • Proven background in instrumentation, electrical, or automation engineering within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Practical expertise in process measurement technologies, field device selection, and calibration principles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering documentation and data within COMOS.

  • Hands-on experience with loop testing, functional testing, commissioning, and system startup.

  • Solid familiarity with GxP/GMP compliance requirements and change control procedures.

  • Experience with qualification software such as UBIK and Kneat is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in English and/or German
