HR Operations & Delivery Apprentice

Location – Manchester, United Kingdom
Hybrid Working Policy.

As the HR Operations & Delivery Apprentice, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities, both independently and under supervision, gaining valuable exposure to HR processes, project management and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role has been designed as an entry-level pathway into the HR Operations & Delivery team at Lonza. You will support the Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement (PECI) team in delivering an efficient, streamlined and high-quality service to the HR function and wider business.

What you will do:

  • Build knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle through exposure to a variety of HR Operations & Delivery projects.
  • Support process mapping, root cause analysis and process improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities to enhance service delivery and employee experience.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, including idea intake, documentation, tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across HR, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Digital, gaining exposure to different areas of the function.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong proficiency in excel PowerPoint and digital tools, with an interest in AI-enabled technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data, identify trends and solve problems
  • Curious and proactive learner with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Positive attitude, resilience and willingness to learn and develop.
