Role Purpose

Overall stewardship of a team managing the statutory and direct tax topics for 20 entities across EMEA, working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Critically, this includes overseeing the external audits of the (non-Swiss) EMEA entities for both Group Audit and Local Audit purposes, ensuring timely preparation and filing of annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate tax accounting for the formal financial closes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce statutory accounts for all legal entities listed above, with assistance from outsourced provider.
  • Prepare and file tax compliance submissions for all EMEA legal entities, as required by local legislation, with assistance from outsourced provider.
  • Work with SAR controlling to monitor GBSO cost centers spend, and provide input into Target process.
  • Lead a team of 6 FTEs, and develop talent to grow in the organization
  • Presentation of statutory results to board members.
  • Drive strategic tax, operational, system and process improvement projects for own function and cross functional
  • Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) for UK legal entities

Key Requirements:

  • External auditing experience preferably having worked alongside one of the big 4
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Previous experience of leading teams
  • In depth technical finance and tax knowledge.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills,
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Planning and organizing skills.
