Job Title: Head – Finance Operations & Legal Entity Compliance (GBSO), India
Location: Hyderabad, India
The GBSO Country Head – India is responsible for leading the Finance Operations and Legal Entity Compliance for India within the Global Business Services Organization (GBSO). The role ensures delivery of high‑quality shared financial services, statutory and legal entity compliance, and alignment with Lonza Group standards while partnering with regional and global stakeholders.

What You Will Do:
Lead the India GBSO team to deliver end‑to‑end finance services, including R2R, S2P, and O2C, in line with defined KPIs
Act as FLER (Finance Legal Entity Responsible) and Board member, ensuring full statutory, tax, and financial compliance of Indian legal entities
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and regulatory authorities
Lead tax, treasury, and transfer pricing operations in coordination with Corporate Tax and Treasury teams
Drive internal control systems (ICS) effectiveness and ensure compliance with corporate standards
Partner with APAC and global GBSO leadership to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
Support global initiatives such as SAP S/4HANA transformation and other enterprise projects
What We Are Looking For:
A senior finance leader with strong shared service experience, statutory compliance expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, global matrix organization. The successful individual is an effective communicator who is able to drive results in a highly complex environment, while remaining customer focused.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (required) and Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is advantageous
10+ years of experience in large multinational organizations (MNC)
Global/Regional leadership experience within Shared Service Center or Global Business Services environments
Strong knowledge and exposure to financial, legal entity and statutory compliance, audit, tax, treasury, and transfer pricing
Good SAP experience (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
Strong business acumen and the ability to manage stakeholders in global, matrix environment
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CFA, CA or equivalent)
