Documentation Technician (f/m/d)

The Project Engineering Team manages the CapEx program and, as part of it, the documentation technician manages the engineering drawings and non-GMP documents, following Good Engineering Practices, which require the following to be established:
Assign engineering document numbers and revision numbers, as applicable.
Archive and retrieve engineering document records.
Update the revision history record for each engineering document, as applicable.
Maintain the list of Living Documents and drawings.
Ensure traceability of document changes.

What you’ll do:
Manage engineering technical documentation (drawings, equipment manuals, specifications, protocols, etc.) in both physical and electronic formats, including registration, classification, and archiving tasks; maintain updated documentation databases; and assign codes to new systems and their components (equipment, instruments, lines, etc.), as well as to new documents (drawings, specifications, etc.).
Provide support in the digitization, scanning, and version control of drawings and technical documents.
Prepare reports and provide the required information to monitor and control the department’s performance (workload, backlog, etc.).
Develop and implement continuous improvement actions to achieve more efficient and modern performance, defining and driving enhancements in digital tools and document-management processes, and establishing procedures, standards, and criteria for document control and drawing development across the entire plant.
Ensure compliance with document control policies by contractors and internal departments. The documentation technician acts as the primary liaison between the technical office and all plant stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Coordinate external resources required to efficiently carry out archiving and digitization tasks.
Represent the document control function during internal and external audits.
What we’re looking for:
Associate degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred English level: B2.
Advanced user of Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems (Documentum).
Ability to manage advanced databases in Excel and Access and to work with SAP.
Ability to work with computer-aided design software (AutoCAD).
Ability to work in regulated environments.
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Positive, proactive, diligent, engaged and accessible/open to dialogue person.
