Development Scientist - Downstream Purification Development (f/m/d)

We are currently looking for a Development Scientist (m/f/d) to join our DSP Development (Downstream Process Development) team in Visp, Switzerland.

The Development Scientist collaborates closely with project teams and is responsible for the planning and execution of the experimental work. 

Key responsibilities:

• Establishes the protocols, plans and supports execution for the laboratory experiments.

• Ensures appropriate project documentation and reporting including customer contact and presentation in partnership with the project leader.

• Work closely with project leaders and can act as a substitute project leader.

• Supports the DSP team in her/his field of expertise (e.g. chromatography, filtration & statistical analyses)

Key requirements:

• M.S. in biotechnology or related field, or B.S. degree with relevant working experience in biotechnology or related field.

• Profound knowledge in the areas of protein chemistry, chromatography, purification and filtration.

• Experience with statistical analysis, late phase or bioinformatics is of advantage.

• You are positive, flexible, reliable, proactive and an excellent team player.

• Very good written and oral communication skills in English and German is an advantage.
