Accounts Receivable Analyst
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

What you will do:
· Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial information, credit reports, and payment history to recommend suitable credit limits and terms.
· Monitor customer credit exposure and overdue balances, identifying higher‑risk accounts and supporting actions to reduce credit risk.
· Work closely with Sales, other O2C teams (Billing, Cash Application, Collections), Legal, and Customer Service to review disputed or complex accounts and support balanced credit decisions.
· Produce regular credit and risk reporting for management, including ageing trends, exposure movements, and potential bad debt risks.
· Maintain accurate customer credit records, including credit limits, account data, and supporting documentation.
· Support credit policy and process improvements to strengthen risk control and consistency.
· Assist with month‑end and year‑end activities, including credit reviews and bad debt / ECL support.
What we are looking for:
• Proficient years of experience in accounts receivable, credit analysis, or a similar financial role—preferably within manufacturing or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit risk assessment, and collection best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with customers. Proficiency in English is required.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a high volume of accounts.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance AR and credit management processes.
