Lead the accounts payable team at Lonza, Costa Rica during a temporary 7-month assignment, driving process improvements and efficiencies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and train the team to ensure flawless execution of tasks.

  • Develop strong rapport with internal and external customers to drive collaboration and outstanding service.

  • Gather and report on departmental processing metrics, determining relevant statistical data for measurement.

  • Foster a team environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation.

  • Implement process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness in accounts payable operations.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

  • Manage the reconciliation of supplier accounts and other key financial data.

  • Coordinate month-end close procedures and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven supervisory experience in an accounts payable or customer service environment.

  • Direct industry experience, ideally within Shared Services or service-related operations strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of managing teams during periods of substantial change and experience leading migration projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of balancing accounts and maintaining strict internal controls.

  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and OCR systems.

  • Experience with Invoice track preferred.
