Voluntary Disclosures Agreement
Please read the information below carefully. By ticking the box below you consent to the collection, use, and retention by Lonza of your personal information provided voluntarily by yourself to us. We may evaluate your application with our employees and/or internal or external consultants in order to determine the suitability of an employment relationship. Please note that we will not sell or share your personal data. However, we may use third party providers, such as Workday or Randstad to help us evaluate your skills. Please note also that our Privacy Policy | Lonza applies to you. On your side we request that you herewith confirm that your information is complete and accurate. Please note that we will retain and delete your application in accordance with applicable law; however, if you wish us to maintain your application for consideration of future employment opportunities for which you may qualify, please check the tick box below.
What personal information do we collect?
In the application process, Lonza requests your name, address, city, country, postal code, telephone number and email address. We also request information regarding your job preferences, current and prior employment, referral source, competencies, education, language proficiencies, professional qualifications, analytical skills, and other information that voluntarily choose to provide to show your qualifications for an employment opportunity. Additionally, depending upon your location or the location of the job, we may request optional references, self-identification information, and additional information allowing us to evaluate your application.
Where is your personal information stored?
This site is hosted for Lonza and its affiliated entities by Workday Limited and Randstad B.V., in data centers located in the Netherlands and Ireland.
Does Lonza collect technical information and user electronic mechanisms such as 'cookies'?
Lonza does not use electronic mechanisms such as "cookies" at this site; however, this site is hosted by a third party that hosts and manages the application and technical infrastructure. How does Lonza use the personal information you provide?
The personal information you provide will be used only for human resources related purposes, such as to evaluate your qualifications, fill job openings and provide for career planning or, in some cases, to evaluate your potential future suitability for other positions at Lonza. If you are chosen for a particular job opening, Lonza will retain this information and process it in relation to your employment with Lonza and its affiliates. In order to evaluate your information, it may be transferred to another location in the world, including a country or jurisdiction that may not provide the same level of data protection as the legal jurisdictions where you are located. However, we continue to strive for the highest data protection standards in order for your information to remain safe and secured. Wherever the information is transferred, it will be subject to this privacy statement.
In addition, the personal information that you provide may be de-identified (rendered anonymous) and used, for example, to allow Lonza to better understand the aggregate characteristics of those who are applying for jobs at Lonza.
How does Lonza secure personal information?
Lonza maintains appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures in order to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, disclosure, access, or use, and all other unlawful forms of processing of the personal information in the company’s possession, custody, and control. We also limit access to your personal information to those professionals within Lonza, its affiliated companies and third parties that have a legitimate interest in such information (such as Human Resources professionals, supervisors seeking applicants with particular qualifications, agencies, IT system suppliers and other third party service providers). Third party data processors are contractually bound to maintain adequate and appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards and may only process data as instructed by Lonza.
Lonza has taken reasonable and appropriate steps such as intercompany data transfer agreements to provide an adequate level of data protection to the information collected, used, transferred, and shared globally by Lonza.
Will Lonza disclose the personal information that you provide?
Lonza may share the personal information collected with Lonza and its affiliated entities and our website hosting and application hosting providers acting on behalf of Lonza, external recruitment specialists and other third party service providers in connection with the legitimate business purposes of Lonza and its affiliates to review your information in order to consider your qualifications for a position.
Will a background check be conducted?
A background check will be conducted at the end of the recruitment process. The purpose of this check is to verify the information that candidates have provided when applying for the job and, depending on the job, also ask for additional personal data that relate to the candidate’s suitability for the job. Also here, Lonza may ask for the support of an independent and contractually bound third party services provider.
How can you access and update your personal information?
At the Lonza's Workday Career Site and Talent UX User Account Page, you can access and update applicant, contact and password information. If you have any questions or need any assistance accessing, updating or deleting your information, please see "How can I obtain further information" below.
How can you request to have your personal information deleted?
Requests to have your personal information deleted from Lonza’s record should be made in writing to PrivacyOfficer@Lonza.com. Lonza will honor such requests to the extent permitted by applicable law. Note that some jurisdictions require Lonza to maintain applicant information for a specific length of time. If a request is made and such applicable law applies, Lonza will delete your personal information once that required length of time has elapsed.
