Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively supervise groups within Materials Management to ensure all customer requirements are met and performed safely and within GMP guidelines.

  • Offer mentorship on advanced processes.

  • Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources.

  • Handle and report out on key performance indicator metrics for the department.

  • Ensure the development, updates, and maintenance of Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and work instructions are complete and can be closely followed.

  • Ensure the timely delivery of quality samples as well as continuous audit readiness within the Raw Material Sampling areas.

  • Responsible for ensuring that material allocations for the daily production schedule are completed daily.

  • Ensure that material returns from manufacturing are processed in a timely manner.

  • Accountable for the completion of daily sample shipments as well as scheduled final product shipments, to include all required documentation.

  • Coordinate the completion of quality records for changes to shipping processes from validations and customer requests.

  • Ensure monthly inventories are performed and submitted in a timely manner to Inventory Control.

  • Sustain and maintain replenishment material inventory.

  • Review SAP transactions to ensure clear segregation of responsibilities.

  • Review daily activities to ensure they are beneficial to the company.

  • Review transactions (i.e., Cycle Counts inventory investigations) and provide direction on handling root cause and corrective actions.

  • Facilitate scheduling PMs for Maintenance/Calibration/HVAC for internal and external warehouse spaces.

  • Develop Logistics Specialists/Leads so they are trained in all areas of warehouse operations as noted on their specific job description.

  • Develop new strategies and improve on current processes to support the changing environment.

  • Complete ongoing Employee Health & Safety (EHS) awareness training.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Business.

  • Align and understand cGMP, Manufacturing Practices, Logistics, and Warehousing background.

  • Strong personality who takes the lead and ownership.

  • A dynamic yet measured personality with excellent presentational and influencing skills.

  • Staying power in a fast-paced environment where standards need to be established and set.

  • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities in a greenfield environment.

  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal. Excellent listening skills.

  • Project and Change Management skills.

  • Strong Time Management and Priorities Management Skills.

  • Problem-solving and root cause identification skills.

  • Must be a great teammate and able to collaborate optimally with others. Open-minded and curious to learn new things.

  • Ability to influence others and move towards a common vision or goal, being a strong interface.

  • A very high level of personal drive and motivation and the ability to progress matters with a significant degree of independence.

  • The desire and ability to innovate and address challenges positively and creatively.

  • A highly flexible approach to handling a large workload in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities and unpredictable demands.
