Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across three continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

The Supply Chain Transformation Specialist supports the execution of cross-functional transformation initiatives across the Supply Chain organization in Visp. As part of the Supply Chain Transformation team, this role contributes to a broad range of activities spanning project coordination, documentation, stakeholder communication, and training preparation across functions such as planning, logistics, procurement, and material management.

With strong organizational and analytical skills, the Specialist plays a key role in maintaining clear and consistent project documentation, creating visually impactful presentations, and supporting the overall transformation roadmap. This includes assisting with data analysis for the visualization of project progress and to enable decision-making and alignment across teams. By combining a process-oriented mindset with a solid understanding of supply chain operations, the Supply Chain Transformation Specialist helps ensure consistency and transparency in ongoing improvement and change initiatives

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Head of Supply Chain Strategy & Transformation to support ongoing initiatives and transformation projects.

  • Support the development and coordination of the Project Management Office (PMO) for Supply Chain Transformation, collaborating with Project Leads, Key Users and operational teams.

  • Help identify interdependencies and ensure alignment between strategic goals and project execution.

  • Develop clear and compelling visual presentations to support the transformation roadmap and communicate progress to stakeholders, leadership, and project teams.

  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring stakeholder engagement across planning, logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and global functions.

  • Participate actively in all project phases, including meetings, workshops, testing, and training sessions.

  • Create and maintain high-quality project documentation, such as meeting minutes, process flows, SOPs, training materials, and reports.

  • Analyze operational and project-related data to track performance, identify risks, and support data-driven decision-making.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in supply chain or transformation-related roles; experience in business consulting is highly valued.

  • Process-oriented mindset, with a solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.

  • Strong visual storytelling skills for summarizing data and documenting project progress to support workshops, trainings, and executive updates, using tools like PowerPoint.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts) is essential; experience or interest in analytical tools such as Power BI is a plus.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, and strong organizational and communication skills to manage coordination across diverse stakeholders. Strong interest in change management practices to support stakeholder alignment and process adoption.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.

  • Experience with SAP ERP, particularly in supply chain modules such as PP, EWM, SD is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage.
