Supply Chain Projects Manager
To lead multi-disciplinary Supply Chain projects teams in the successful delivery of customer contracts. Responsible for implementing the project scope in a timely manner, ensuring the cost and quality objectives of the contract are met. The incumbent serves as quality resource within Project management. Considered as the technical lead on functional or cross-functional teams and may provide guidance to junior project management staff. Has in-depth understanding of Lonza’s technology and the industry/customers/accounts. Leads the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company commitments and goals.
Key responsibilities:Lead a multi-disciplinary project team for the transformation of the supply chain function of the Lonza Vacaville site. Based on existing SAP process model/blueprint, this includes the responsibility and accountability for project initiation, planning, execution/implementation, monitoring and closeout.
Drive the establishment and optimization of the following SAP process areas: Supply Chain core/main process landscape, Integrated Business Planning (Supply Planning), Detailed Scheduling, and Direct Materials Planning and Procurement.
Governance and oversight of the transformation of the supply chain function of the Lonza Vacaville site to ensure efficient and standardized usage of the defined Supply Chain process landscape to unveil maximum optimization potential for the Biologics function.
Lead and establish vital organizational change measures to ensure a smooth transition towards a high performing supply chain function, including critical knowledge transfer.
Develop, drive and accountable supply chain improvements and standardization ensuring full adherence to the SAP Execution Blueprint standards
Provide leadership in defining recommended practice and applying project management standards.
Project Manager ensures the status and progress of the agreed to project plan. This is crucial to assure that the project is on track and any issues can be proactively handled. Risk Management techniques shall also be used to manage risks on the project.
Conduct internal and external project team meetings to ensure that all partners are working in accordance to the agreed to project plan.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences or relevant field.
5-10 years of working experience as a project management and/or supply chain
Comprehensive and consistent track record in organizational change management; proven expertise in process and system deployment and implementation
Ability to be responsible for and lead complex process and system landscapes considering pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical requirements
Experience with leading large international project teams, and with direct and indirect team structures
Demonstrated crisis strategic oversight, delivering under uncertain and high business pressure conditions
Extensive SAP knowledge in production and supply chain management in a regulated industry.

As required by law in this state, the quoted salary range for this position is $145,000 and $247,000. We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities; while also allowing for differentiation on performance based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at the company between the lower and the middle part of the applicable range. We tailor our offers within the range based on job-related factors, including organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographic area and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industry knowledge, location, technical and/or communication skills and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. This range is only inclusive of base salary, and base pay is just one component of Lonza’s total compensation package for employees.
