We are seeking a Senior Manager, IT Training Expert to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of Lonza’s IT training catalogue. This role will establish a structured, scalable training portfolio aligned with business priorities, IT strategy, and employee skill development needs. Partnering closely with IT leadership, HR/Learning & Development teams, SMEs, and external vendors, the Senior Manager will curate and maintain a comprehensive learning catalogue across core IT domains such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, data, software development, enterprise applications, and IT service management.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Catalogue Strategy & Governance: Ensure alignment of training catalogue priorities with IT strategy, digital transformation roadmap, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Curriculum & Learning Pathway Development: Build end‑to‑end learning pathways for IT job families (e.g., Service Desk, Network Engineering, Cloud Operations, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity); identify skill gaps and translate them into structured training plans.
- Learning Platform & Catalogue Administration: Maintain catalogue content in LMS/LXP platforms; define metadata standards (course descriptions, tags, skill mapping, prerequisites, duration, audience).
- Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Define KPIs to track catalogue effectiveness; provide regular reporting to IT leadership on progress, utilization, and strategic impact; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT leadership, HR/L&D, SMEs, and external vendors to ensure training solutions meet enterprise needs.
- Training Delivery & Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships, manage budgets, and ensure quality standards for external training programs.
- Support IT Transformation: Contribute to IT and digital transformation programs by aligning workforce development with evolving technology priorities.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking with ability to translate IT priorities into workforce development solutions.

- Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with experience using data to drive decision‑making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to present training strategies to leadership.
- Ability to manage vendors, budgets, and training portfolio planning.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Familiarity with Thrive platform or similar learning tools.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in IT training, digital transformation, or enterprise learning environments.
- Experience in skills mapping frameworks, workforce planning, and global training environments.
