The Senior Specialist role will be a 12 month contract role in the Supply Chain team based at our Tuas Office. This role will be responsible to translate CGT asset strategy to tactical actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to implement source, procurement and material planning strategy for the Cell and Gene Therapy business.
  • Work closely with Program Manager, Manufacturing, MSAT, QC and QA on Material requirement and ensure adequate quantities of material at the time needed to meet actual production requirement at the lowest cost.
  • Act as SCM representative for any Tech Transfer for material requirement planning and governance. Be the point of contact for any Deviation and Change request.
  • In absence of Department Manager, take lead to manage the direct materials sourcing team to ensure satisfactory purchase decisions, follow-up and expedite solution of problems that arise in relation to quality, delivery or pricing.
  • Manage and  maintain the accuracy of SAP part numbers, MRP requirements, safety stock and reorder point levels to ensures timely supply of critical materials for customer projects and operation requirements. Ensure that all purchasing data bases have prompt, accurate information.
  • Use generated reports and screens for control and purchasing decisions. Analyze data to determine best possible solutions, whether requisition-based or transaction reduction-based and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Responsible for the creation/management/closure of the GMP documents such as Trackwise Change controls, Supplier Change Notification, Deviations and CAPA’s etc.
  • Responsible for Raw Material planning, Purchase Order creation and maintenance. Communicate effectively with internal (including Lonza global colleagues) and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures and ethics guidelines are maintained. Participate in Kaizen/Hoshin/OE event(s) and projects, so as to provide business with process improvements in terms of cost and/or time savings opportunities etc.

Key Requirements

  • Degree/ Diploma holder with 5+ years of experience in supply chain, raw material requirement in healthcare / chemical industry.
  • Experience in SAP- MM.
  • Ability to influence both supply chain and functional area owner to support Procurement, MRP, Warehouse and Logistics planning and site manufacturing strategy recommendations.
  •  Good communication and presentation skills. Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics (KPI’s) and identify issues through root cause analysis Competent using MS office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Ability to utilize business intelligence systems (Power BI) to extract data and generate reports.
