Based in Slough, this is an exciting opportunity to join our R&D Purification team developing and optimizing next-generation bioprocessing technologies. You will contribute to innovative purification and recovery process advancements that drive Lonza’s position as a leader in biologics manufacturing.

What you will do:Plan and execute laboratory-scale studies to support technology development and process optimization projects.
Evaluate and compare different purification and primary recovery technologies to enhance bioprocess efficiency.
Analyse complex datasets, draw meaningful conclusions, and provide technical recommendations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D Analytical, Upstream, and Operations stakeholders.
Execute chromatography and recovery studies, ensuring adherence to study design and timelines.
Manage and curate large process datasets, maintaining data integrity and compliance with quality standards.
Author high-quality technical reports and contribute to publications that support scientific advancement.
Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering (BSc/BEng minimum; MSc/MEng/PhD preferred).
Strong scientific knowledge in bioprocessing and purification technologies.
Ability to analyse and interpret complex experimental data using sound scientific methodology.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience in laboratory-based bioprocessing or purification development preferred.
Excellent organization, documentation, and time-management skills.
A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and embrace change.
