We are currently looking to recruit a Scientist – Immunology to join our Early Development Services (EDS) team based in our R&D site in Cambridge.

As a Scientist – Immunology, your role will involve the isolation, and banking of human primary immune cells, and the design and execution of various in vitro cell-based bioassays. As part of your role, you will be required to keep good records, and present your data to relevant stakeholders.

This is a lab based position, which will give you the opportunity to develop current and new bioassay platforms, within a cutting edge, rapidly growing team within Lonza.

What you’ll do:

• Supporting existing assay platforms to assess the immune response to therapeutic candidates.

• Isolation, banking and characterisation of human PBMC (peripheral blood mononuclear cells).

• Improvement of current assay platforms.

• Development of novel assay platforms.

• Ensuring accuracy of data produced, and up keep of records.

• Presentation of data/findings to relevant stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

• PhD/MSc/BSc Degree in Immunology, biochemistry or other relevant Life Sciences /Science

• Understanding of immunology and/or cell based assays

• Previous experience within a laboratory based environment performing cell based assays preferably

• High degree of attention to detail, and accuracy to ensure good record keeping and skilled presentation of data
