Senior QA Specialist – Logistics 80-100% (f/m/d)

Location: the actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

The QA Logistics group sits within QA Supply Chain and provides key quality oversight and support for the Switzerland Visp site. This group supports warehousing operations, cold-chain management, and the movement and storage of raw materials and products.

This position will focus on implementing and managing robust cross-functional support for supply chain and logistics operations across the site. You will be responsible for ensuring Quality Assurance oversight of supply chain processes, warehousing activities, cold-chain management, and associated quality systems, while maintaining compliance with Lonza standards, industry best practices, and national and international regulatory requirements.

What you will do:  

• Provide QA oversight for logistics, warehousing, cold chain, and material flow activities to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Provide Quality Assurance oversight for supply chain and logistics operations across the site, ensuring appropriate management and quality assessment of deviations, change controls, and CAPAs within TrackWise.
• Own and maintain quality-relevant logistics processes, ensuring procedures, controls, and quality system requirements remain compliant with applicable GMP, GDP, and Lonza standards.
• Review and assess the GMP impact of cold-chain alarms, temperature excursions, storage and transportation incidents, and other logistics-related quality events.
• Partner with Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and other stakeholders to support compliant site activities and effective issue resolution.
• Maintain and improve quality procedures, standards, and processes related to logistics and warehousing activities.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions by providing documentation, subject matter expertise, and follow-up actions.
• Contribute to inspection readiness and continuous improvement initiatives through risk-based quality oversight and process improvements.

What we are looking for:

• Academic degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Biochemistry or Supply Chain/Logistics or related field or Relevant work experience in Quality Assurance and/or Production/Supply Chain/Logistics and/or Quality Control in pharmaceutical industries and cGMP-controlled environments.
• Knowledge of Swiss, EU, and US GMP regulations relevant to audit/inspections and compliance systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required, German is an advantage).
• Ability to communicate quality and compliance requirements to varying levels and functions of the organization.
• Strong collaborative mindset and the ability to build relationships quickly. 
• Strong organizational skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to solve problems, understand details and strategic picture, providing practical solutions.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in a manufacturing, supply chain, or operational environment.
