We are looking for a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to join our Global Marketing team and support our Specialized Modalities business.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead digital marketing for the Specialized Modalities business. Your main job is to turn complex scientific ideas into clear, engaging digital campaigns that reach the right audience.
You’ll plan and run campaigns, improve website and content performance, and use data to make smarter marketing decisions. You’ll also work closely with teams across the business to make sure our digital efforts support sales and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy and Planning
Plan and run the yearly digital marketing activities for the Specialized Modalities business
Turn business goals into effective digital campaigns across different channels
Track performance and improve campaigns based on results and feedback
Use market insights and new tools (including AI) to improve how we reach and engage audiences
Campaign Management and Lead Generation
Plan and deliver digital campaigns that generate and nurture leads
Manage campaigns from start to finish, including planning, execution, and reporting
Work with CRM and marketing operations teams to ensure smooth follow-up on leads
Run email marketing campaigns, including audience targeting, testing, and improvements
Manage the digital marketing budget and ensure it delivers good results
Support events and webinars with digital promotion and lead follow-up
Content Development
Create and manage digital content such as landing pages, emails, videos, and visuals
Make sure content is accurate, relevant, and easy to understand
Reuse and adapt content across channels to get the most value from it
Website and Digital Experience
Manage the Specialized Modalities section of lonza.com
Ensure content is up to date, easy to find, and encourages user action
Work with web and UX teams to improve website performance and usability
Support search engine optimization (SEO) to increase visibility
Marketing Technology and Data
Use data to improve targeting, personalization, and campaign results
Explore and adopt new tools and technologies to improve efficiency
Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with business leaders and marketing teams
Share clear updates on campaign performance and suggest improvements
Align with global teams on messaging and brand consistency
Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery
Track performance and highlight risks and opportunities
Promote best practices and continuous improvement in digital marketing
What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of digital marketing and how to measure performance
Well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Good communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable working with different teams and external partners
Focused on delivering results and improving over time
High attention to detail
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital communications, life sciences, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing
Experience running digital campaigns that deliver measurable results
Knowledge of key digital marketing areas such as SEO, content, email, and analytics
Experience using marketing and analytics tools (e.g., marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, Google Analytics)
Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights
Experience working in B2B or technical environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in life sciences, biotech, or a similar industry
Familiarity with website content management systems and analytics tools
Understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements
Experience working with external agencies
Experience marketing complex products or services
