Reliability Engineer
Location: Vacaville, California
The Vacaville Facilities and Engineering team is looking for a Reliability Engineer who will be a liaison between the maintenance, manufacturing, and engineering teams. This role is key to creating a data-driven program for effective equipment maintenance and asset reliability.
This position leads the department in data utilization to drive equipment life cycle decisions for the site. This individual will be responsible for spearheading the Reliability Database Analysis and Bad Actor reporting systems. Industry standard Reliability methodologies should be used to drive new techniques and technologies to increase equipment availability while reducing maintenance and operational costs. This role will play a key part in the departmental responsibility for utilizing risk-based approaches to optimize asset care while reducing manufacturing equipment downtime.

What you will do
Collaborate across teams to provide Asset Care support for Vacaville operations, ensuring all projects follow cGMP and corporate standards.
Analyze performance data and downtime to proactively identify and resolve root causes of repetitive equipment failures.
Implement reliability strategies and new technologies to extend asset longevity and maximize equipment availability and safety.
Optimize maintenance processes by reviewing routine practices and implementing changes that reduce system downtime.
Identify trends to provide data-driven recommendations for site engineering and long-term asset management strategies.
Advise on equipment lifecycle, assisting with purchase specifications, installation qualifications, and project design reviews.
Manage RCM programs (Reliability Centered Maintenance) by leading criticality reviews and escalating findings to key stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, is preferred.
4 – 7 years of Engineering experience in the pharmaceutical or a related industry.
Proficiency in reliability tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, or Six Sigma to drive data-led site recommendations.
Proven track record of meeting objectives while maintaining high ethical and integrity standards in a regulated environment.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple goals to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Strategic communication skills to accurately and concisely present technical information to diverse teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, and EH&S.
Collaborative mindset with the interpersonal skills needed to influence and partner effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
