Location: Tampa, Florida
Join our team as a Reliability Engineer supporting a regulated pharmaceutical oral solid dose (OSD) manufacturing site. In this role, you will drive equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and strengthen a proactive maintenance culture that keeps critical production assets running safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

What you will do
Develop and execute a site reliability strategy to reduce failures, improve uptime, and drive defect elimination.
Analyze equipment performance data, downtime trends, and CMMS records to identify chronic issues and reliability gaps.
Lead structured root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to ensure they are risk‑based, effective, and aligned with equipment criticality.
Support asset lifecycle planning, including criticality assessments, obsolescence mitigation, and reliability input into capital projects.
Partner cross‑functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Validation, and OT teams to ensure equipment remains compliant, qualified, and inspection‑ready.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support training of technicians and operators on reliability fundamentals.
What we are looking for
High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is preferred.
Extensive experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or a related technical role, ideally within a pharmaceutical cGMP environment.
Strong understanding of reliability principles including failure modes, MTBF/MTTR, defect elimination, FMEA, and maintenance strategy development.
Hands‑on technical expertise with OSD production and packaging equipment (tablet presses, coaters, capsule fillers, blenders, conveyors, etc.) and supporting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems strongly preferred.
Proficiency analyzing CMMS data, troubleshooting chronic failures, documenting root cause investigations, and authoring clear, compliant technical reports.
Working knowledge of GMP requirements, data integrity principles (ALCOA+), equipment lifecycle management, and regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
