Quality Control Expert - Drug Product

Join Lonza in Visp as a Quality Control Expert on a 7-month contract. Lead and streamline analytical deliverables for Drug Product operations while managing key client relationships in a fully site-based setting.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Drive high-impact Drug Product (DP) programs by acting as the primary QC lead across the entire product lifecycle.

  • Serve as the vital link between internal laboratories, cross-functional teams, and global pharmaceutical clients.

  • Synchronize critical analytical deliverables, including method validation, analytical transfers, stability testing, and final batch release.

  • Oversee milestone delivery and proactively mitigate technical or scheduling risks to maintain strict regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain transparent project governance through structured status reporting and alignment meetings.

  • Foster professional growth across teams through collaborative problem-solving and mentoring cross-functional peers.

  • Support operational excellence initiatives to standardize processes and optimize laboratory service delivery.


What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment, ideally focused on Drug Product manufacturing or testing workflows.

  • Strong technical background in core Quality Control processes and laboratory operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects or lead cross-functional initiatives under tight timelines.

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills to manage diverse client and internal stakeholder expectations.

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset suited for a fast-paced manufacturing site.

  • University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related Life Sciences field.
