QC Systems Specialist 1

Are you ready to bridge the gap between Quality Control and cutting-edge laboratory technology? Join our team in Oregon, where you will shape and optimize critical QC systems like LabVantage LIMS across our Bend and Tumalo facilities to support the delivery of life-changing therapies.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will get:

  • An agile career and dynamic working culture.

  • An inclusive and ethical workplace.

  • Competitive hourly rate.

The hourly rate for this position is expected to range between $40 - $45.

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Translate User Requirement Specifications (URS) into practical, robust system configurations in close collaboration with external system integrators.

  • Drive smooth implementation of Phase 2 LIMS functionality across two sites by balancing global consistency with local business needs.

  • Conduct informal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and execute rigorous business test cases to verify configuration accuracy prior to formal qualification.

  • Partner cross-functionally with IT and QA teams to enable on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of high-quality Functional Specifications (FS) and Design Specifications (DS).

  • Support critical system interface realizations connecting LIMS with MES, SAP, and CDS platforms.

  • Minimize system complexity by applying "Remove & Reduce" principles—favoring efficient process adaptation over unnecessary custom configuration.

  • Identify risk areas early and strategically escalate critical issues to align stakeholders and maintain project momentum.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in Quality Control or laboratory systems (advanced scientific degrees may be considered in lieu of years of experience).

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field) required.

  • Demonstrated experience with laboratory information management systems (prior experience with LabVantage LIMS highly preferred).

  • Strong technical fluency in GMP regulations and Computer System Validation (CSV) principles to ensure strict compliance.

  • Working knowledge of core QC workflows and integrated enterprise systems (e.g., MES, SAP, CDS).

  • Basic project management skill set with a proven track record of managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between the Bend and Tumalo, OR sites as required.
