QC Microbiology Supervisor
The Supervisor, Quality Control Microbiology will lead laboratory personnel and manage day-to-day testing operations within a cGMP manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle—including hiring, training, and performance management—while supervising routine and complex testing activities like environmental monitoring and microbiology analysis. Acting as both a people leader and a technical subject matter expert, the supervisor ensures strict regulatory compliance, guides OOS and CAPA investigations, champions continuous improvement, and represents the department during internal and external regulatory audits.

What you will do
- Lead all employee lifecycle activities, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff through continuous feedback, goal setting, and professional development opportunities.
- Assign, prioritize, and oversee daily QC activities to ensure timely completion of work.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, and progress against established quality and operational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, regulatory, and safety requirements; escalate potential quality or compliance risks to senior management.
- Review, approve, and sign quality documentation in accordance with company policies and authorization levels.
- Support Quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts while maintaining high on-time performance and operational excellence
What we look for
- B.A. or B.S. degree in the field of Life Science, and at least two years of experience in a related industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ensure adherence to cGMP requirements and Quality standards across Quality Control operations.
- Interpret, implement, and review Quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Make sound decisions regarding scheduling, workload prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Lead problem-solving efforts and provide clear direction to support business and quality objectives.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
- Adapt to changing priorities and operational needs while maintaining compliance, efficiency, and quality performance.
