We are currently looking for a QC LIMS Analyst to join our outstanding team in Houston, TX, USA.   • Implement program upgrades, report problems, and support Laboratory, Production, and Quality Assurance personnel with application usage.
  • Build and maintain application procedures and system configuration documents.
  • Maintain stored data and compliance documentation for all related software programs, including validation protocols, critical system change requests, and system functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with authorities (SMEs) to clarify and document user requirements.
  • Handle application validation and change control activities.
  • Perform and/or review and verify data modification and change controls as requested by application end-users.
  • Complete software validation documentation and write, implement, and review change control documentation.
  • Review and approve software documentation prepared by LIMS personnel, as needed.
  • Maintain, modify/upgrade, and fix programs and upgrades, including the creation/modification of product specifications, analyses, and calculations.
  • Evaluate product improvements and capabilities as needed.
  • Know the latest with technological advances associated with Labware LIMS programs.
  • Serve as a team member to answer LIMS and TrackWise functionality and business process questions.
  • Set up master data for raw materials independently and attend raw material meetings.
  • Handle the LIMS/SAP interface setup, troubleshoot sample errors, and attend project meetings.
  • Translate functional business requirements into technical requirements and specifications.
  • Author and review SOPs.
  • Analyze and assess the business impact and urgency of incidents/problems affecting application availability, function, and performance to develop work priorities.
  • Resolve application incidents and problems impacting local business operations according to business impact priority.
  • Provide end-user support and deliver one-on-one or group training on systems.
  • Monitor the efficiency of training efforts and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Programming preferred. At minimum, Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Biology/Chemistry or Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Science, and/or 2 years of hands-on experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience with LIMS software/system usage, and/or laboratory experience.
  • Skilled handling of common software applications (MS Office) and a keen interest in working with computer-based systems.
  • User and/or specialist knowledge of LIMS and other pharmaceutical/laboratory software (e.g., Documentum) is an advantage.
  • Good technical comprehension and very good organizational skills.
  • Clear communication in English (written, oral), interpersonal skills, independence, structured thinking skills, collaboration, and customer orientation.
  • Self-organizing with solid skills to track problems to solution.
