As a QA Team Leader II, you'll lead a team of Quality Assurance professionals, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout manufacturing while driving continuous improvement and developing talented people.

This role is primarily based on site. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards. We offer flexibility to work remotely for no more than 20% of your time. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, in line with business needs.

The full-time annual base pay for this position in the Netherlands is expected to range between 63,000 Euros and 88,200 Euros. Initial salary placement within this range will be determined based on role-related factors such as experience, qualifications and expected contribution.

What you will do
  • Lead, coach and support a team of Quality Assurance Officers, providing direction and acting as an escalation point for quality-related matters.
  • Ensure quality activities, including batch record review, quality event management and documentation, are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality and project teams to deliver quality objectives that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, monitor quality performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve processes and team effectiveness.
  • Develop team capability through mentoring, training, performance feedback and career development conversations.
  • Support investigations, change controls, CAPAs and root cause analysis to maintain compliance and strengthen quality systems.
  • Represent the Quality Assurance function during internal meetings, customer interactions and regulatory inspections.
What we are looking for
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams within a Quality Assurance or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Life Sciences or another scientific discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP principles and quality management systems.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, coaching others and delivering high-quality results.
