Within the Development Services Team for Small Molecules we are looking for a highly skilled organic chemist with a strong interest in the development of manufacturing processes for the production of API’s. As chemist in our Team you are responsible for the implementation, optimization and transfer of manufacturing processes for Small Molecule API’s on behalf of our customers.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and optimize scalable processes regarding productivity, safety, quality and cost efficiency for the production of small molecules API (incl. HPAPI) in the laboratory through all phases of clinical development up to Process Validation.
Transfer of production processes to the GMP manufacturing facility and support of the manufacturing plant during production in case of issues and difficulties (e.g. trouble shooting) as technical expert.
Plan, supervise, and evaluate laboratory experiments and summarize results in reports and presentations.
Collaborate within Lonza’s multifunctional project Teams and with external customers.
Anticipate, evaluate and implement trends and innovations in the area of expertise.
Key requirements:
Ph.D in Organic Synthesis, industry experience not essential but is an advantage.
Some expertise in downstream processing, especially in preparative chromatography is required.
Knowledge of cGMP regulations, project management ,statistical data evaluation and DoE are desirable.
Structured, focused, well-organized working attitude, open-minded for new ideas and suggestions, highly motivated, creative and solution-oriented.
Strong team player.
Excellent communications skills and soft skills to build solid relationships.
Fluent in German and English.
