Pharmaceutical Material Specialist
Location: Vacaville, California
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
Pharmaceutical Materials Specialist are responsible for the execution of material logistics in a cGMP environment. This includes receiving, sampling, storage and distribution of materials, as well as the transfer of materials manufacturing and the weighing & kitting of direct materials for manufacturing use. Handling and shipping of hazardous materials
as required. Additional responsibilities include performing data entry into various databases, safely utilizing material handling equipment, adhering to cGMP procedures, ensuring department regulatory compliance and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

What you will do
- Perform material logistics activities in a cGMP environment, including receiving, sampling, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials.
- Transfer, weigh, stage, and kit materials for manufacturing operations according to approved procedures.
- Support the handling and shipment of hazardous materials in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Accurately complete transactions and maintain records in business systems such as SAP and LIMS.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum handling equipment, following safety requirements.
- Adhere to cGMP, GDP, EHS, and site procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts, material reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing schedules and material availability.
- Identify and communicate operational or material-related issues to supervision in a timely manner.
What we look for
- High School, Associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
- Experience in GMP, GDP warehouse operations.
- Expertise in SOPs and SAP ERP systems.
- EHS and GMP awareness is preferred.
- Ability to successfully implement procedures.
- Proactive about safety and environmental guidelines.
