Senior IT Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize IT vendors and contractors while on-site at Lonza GWD, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including IT procedures, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and service reports.
  • Ensure the physical cleanup, tidying, organization, and labeling of IT areas and assets are closely maintained.
  • Assist with IT projects, including the installation and replenishment of switches, routers, servers, storage, phones, and access points.
  • Provide daily operational support and coordinate OSS resources.
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance to ensure continued IT efficiency.
  • Assist with blocking issues from onsite technicians and resolve most effective resolution.
  • Lead the calling of software or hardware service replacements.
  • Own the Appspace management, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Test, deploy, and replenish the printer fleet for uncompromised performance.
  • Collaborate with global teams to manage Windows and Security updates and remediation efforts.

Key Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Over five years of validated experience in IT-related fields.
  • Strong understanding and expertise in IT support and development.
  • Familiarity with working alongside offshore support teams.
  • Extensive experience with IT equipment including laptops, servers, and switches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and deliver site leadership presentations.
  • Outstanding multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Diligent with a focus on the big picture.
  • Willingness to travel, including international trips, up to 15%.
  • Capability to collaborate with global teams across different time zones.
  • Flexibility to work outside the traditional 8 to 5 schedule, including possible weekend work.
