As part of our Indirect Procurement leadership team, we are seeking an Order Management Team Lead to oversee regional teams with a view to scale up to a global remit. This role will coach and lead a high-performing, multi-regional team of Purchasing Agents and MRP Planners, driving continuous improvement while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and customer-focused team environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Build, lead, coach, and manage a strong and collaborative Order Management team.
- Oversee team performance by proactively supporting members, allocating resources, and managing workload peaks or absences.
- Compile operational data and provide weekly/monthly reporting at local, functional, and business levels.
- Create a safe and positive team environment that demonstrates the right mindset and customer service attitude.
- Set clear and challenging expectations and goals for team members, ensuring accountability and results focus.
- Develop and manage key stakeholder relationships, acting as a strategic partner with Sourcing, Master Data, and P2P Content Enablement Leads.
- Ensure smooth knowledge transfers and transitions when work is transferred into the team’s remit.
- Liaise with other service teams to enable cross-functional, end-to-end service delivery and process improvement.
- Review and validate purchase requisitions and approval workflows for indirect products/services and CAPEX across multiple sites.
- Promote the use of e-catalogues (Ariba) and other approved buying channels to drive automation.
- Provide analysis and recommendations where targets have not been met, ensuring workload is balanced across the team.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and development of team members and new joiners.
Critical Requirements
- Strong process understanding and ability to leverage commercial tools effectively.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and incorporate their requirements into solutions.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving team and organizational goals.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an international organization (EMEA HQ, global operational sites).
- Escalation management skills and ability to resolve complex issues effectively.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of professional experience, with critical management experience.
- Experience leading teams of up to 10–16 members in a multi-regional setup.
- Strong background in procurement processes, ERP systems (SAP, Ariba), and P2P compliance.
- Ability to plan workload based on expected volume data and provide analysis/recommendations where targets are not met.
- Demonstrated ability to balance workload across teams and recommend structural changes when needed.
