Lonza Bioscience Singapore belongs to the Specialized Modalities arm of Lonza and offers high quality products and services for biopharmaceutical companies to manufacture their life-saving drugs.
The Lonza Bioscience MSAT group supports cell culture media manufacturing of internal and external customers of Lonza Bioscience, as well as development activities to improve cell culture media formulations for specific applications by customers. The Team works very closely with Commercial Sales, Manufacturing, Proposal/Program Management, Supply Chain, Customer Support and external testing facilities, if appropriate.
As MSAT Pilot Media Lab Specialist, at our Tuas site in Singapore, you will play a critical role in establishing the new Media Development Lab (MDL). You will be an individual contributor responsible for executing pilot lab activities to support small-scale, non-GMP liquid media manufacturing and technology transfer to GMP manufacturing sites

What you will do
Operate pilot lab equipment, including mechanical assembly/disassembly, cleaning, calibration, and verification
Manage materials and inventory, including preparation, ordering, and chemical handling
Formulate non-GMP liquid media and perform aseptic filling, container closure, labeling, and documentation in line with SOPs
Conduct in-process testing and ensure compliance with laboratory practices (5S, safety, and good housekeeping)
Generate sterile non-GMP materials to support scale-up, tech transfer, and customer requests
Analyze data, prepare lab protocols, reports, Certificates of Test (COT), and other documentation
Assign part/lot numbers for raw materials and non-GMP batches; prepare SDS and labels
Support scale-up runs by generating Bills of Materials (BOM) and raw material specifications for GMP manufacturing
Procure materials and submit samples to QC as required
Maintain accurate manufacturing and inventory records
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability of pilot operations
Perform other related duties as assigned by your Supervisor/Manager
What we are looking for
Degree or Diploma in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
2-5 years of relevant experience in operations, cell culture techniques, and media formulation within the biopharmaceutical industry
Strong understanding of antibody production, purification, and application of biological therapeutics
Knowledge of cGMP regulations and expectations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
A team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
