Lonza is seeking a dedicated Upstream Manufacturing Associate to join our team on the B Night Shift. In this role, you will play a critical part in our upstream cell culture production processes, focusing on inoculation, media preparation, and routine sampling under cGMP conditions.

This position is ideal for an operational professional who thrives in a hands-on cleanroom environment and demonstrates high technical precision to support the manufacturing of life-saving therapeutics.

Shift Schedule Details: This position operates on the B Night Shift (18:30 to 06:30) on an alternating 2-week schedule:

• Upstream Operations: Execute core upstream cell culture manufacturing activities, including inoculum expansion, media preparation, and aseptic sampling.

• Equipment & Process Execution: Set up, operate, and monitor upstream production equipment in strict accordance with batch execution records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• cGMP Compliance & Documentation: Accurately complete written and electronic batch records following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).

• Cleanroom Operations: Adhere strictly to cleanroom behaviors, gowning requirements, and aseptic techniques to safeguard product quality and safety.

• Routine Facility Support: Maintain equipment and cleanroom suites through routine sanitization, material transfers, and workplace organization (6S).

• Experience: Prior experience in cGMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing (specifically upstream operations, media prep, or cell culture) is strongly preferred.

• Shift Commitment: Full ability and willingness to work the B Night Shift schedule (18:30 – 06:30) on the alternating 2-week rotation.

• Cleanroom Gowning: Ability to wear full cleanroom gowning materials (including suits, hoods, masks, gloves, and safety footwear) for extended periods.

• Physical Stamina:

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during 12-hour shifts.

  • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds infrequently.

• Attention to Detail: Strong operational focus, teamwork skills, and precise adherence to written procedures.
