We are looking for a passionate and driven Project Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for midsized Infrastructure projects and be assigned to one or multiple specific midsize infrastructure investment projects and is leading all phases incl. Front End Engineering, CAR Approval, Execution and Commissioning, Start-Up and Close-Out.

The role is based in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure fit-for-purpose solutions and cost-effectiveness with design and execution. Verification project ideas and requests with this in mind and deliver feasibility and conceptual studies for projects together with the internal and external team members.

  • Develop and execute project plans that will meet the project objectives through the Engineering, Design, Construction, Commissioning and Start-up phases.

  • Creation of project & process deliverables e.g. cost estimation, schedules, P&ID drawings, mass- and energy balances etc.

  • Plant Design and execution of projects together with internal and external engineering partners until and including successful plant start-up.

  • Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure that the project is delivered on time in full and manage any changes to budget or timeline

  • Monitor & communicate project progress to ensure that it's on track and identify any potential issues.

  • Coordinate project teams to ensure that everyone is working together efficiently and drive the project towards completion

  • Compiling/verification and handover of the technical as-built documentation to the future owner and operator

  • Ensure safety, quality & compliance that the project meets the required safety and quality standards according to internal procedures and specifications as well as health authority requirements.

Main requirements:

  • Engineering (BSc or Maser) in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or comparable engineering disciplines

  • Experience in project engineering and project management for process, power, infrastructure industries

  • Broad technical knowledge of the various engineering disciplines in the infrastructure environment with main focus on process engineering

  • Experience in cost control and scheduling related to investment projects .

  • Experience in engineering aspects of facility design to build a compliant but cost effective plant.

  • Knowledge of modern commissioning approaches to minimize the time from construction completion to routine production while maintaining compliance.

  • English fluent, intermediate knowledge of German (or willingness to learn)
