Join our Mammalian Development Services team in Visp to execute high-impact analytical assays that directly support the characterization and quality of life-saving bioprocesses. This full-time contingent role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on industrial laboratory experience in a dynamic environment.

Fully site‑based roles

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Contract Duration: 12 Oct – 31 Dec 2026

Location: Visp, Switzerland

Hours: 41 hours per week

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Execute routine experimental laboratory work using key bioanalytical techniques (primarily ELISA, Gyrolab, and qPCR) to support mammalian bioprocess development.

  • Analyze process impurities and product samples to ensure adherence to strict quality and analytical standards.

  • Perform regular maintenance, evaluation, and qualification of complex analytical laboratory instruments.

  • Prepare, update, and maintain clear working instructions and SOPs for laboratory equipment functionality.

  • Collaborate closely with scientists and laboratory technicians within a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Support continuous process improvements within the Analytical Development (AD) Mammalian group by identifying workflow efficiencies.

  • Maintain a safe, compliant, clean, and organized laboratory workspace in accordance with safety guidelines.


What we are looking for:

  • Vocational training as a Laboratory Technician (EFZ / apprenticeship) or a BSc/MSc degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a related Life Sciences discipline.

  • Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience performing bioanalytical assays, specifically ELISA ( ideally experience with Gyrolab, qPCR, Spectramax, SoftMax Pro or HPLC/Empower).

  • Structured, detail-oriented approach to experimental work with strong organizational skills.

  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, close-knit team environment.

  • Motivated entry-level candidates or recent graduates seeking their first industrial laboratory experience are encouraged to apply; mentoring and structured assay training will be provided.

  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English is required; German skills are a beneficial plus.
