Key responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation, formulation, and testing of prototypes.
- Conduct stability, stress, and compatibility studies to support product development.
- Participate in investigations of formulation issues, identifying potential causes and solutions.
- Record and analyze test data for research and reporting purposes.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and inventory organization to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage raw material inventory, ensuring materials are always stocked and available for development needs.
- Coordinate lab ordering and supply stocking, ensuring that all necessary materials and consumables are maintained at appropriate levels.
- Follow safety procedures and quality regulations (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO).
- Keep lab notebooks, raw material inventory records, reports, and documentation accurate and up to date.
- Foster a strong team environment by ensuring clear communication and collaboration with all collaborators in lab operations.
- Work with R&D scientists, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to assist with trials and production scale-up.
- Support troubleshooting formulation challenges by contributing observations and data from lab tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster positive working relationships with colleagues through effective communication, proactive actions, and a positive attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Nutrition, or related subject area) required. Technical training or laboratory experience is a plus.
- 1+ years of laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with lab inventory management, ordering, and supply tracking is a plus.
- Understanding of basic lab techniques, measuring equipment, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in adhering to guidelines, accurately recording data, and upholding lab organization.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to foster a positive work environment.
