Investor Relations Associate (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investor Relations Associate to join our growing team. This role requires a proven foundation in financial analysis, accounting, valuation, and modeling, as well as a proven understanding of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) frameworks. Prior exposure to the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is a strong plus.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and help craft Lonza’s communications with investors, analysts, and other key partners.
Key Responsibilities
Support the preparation of investor materials including quarterly/semi-annual earnings presentations, scripts, press releases, and Q&A document
Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams - including finance, legal, communications, and the Business Platforms - as well as senior management to ensure alignment and consistency in investor messaging and disclosures
Help supervise and respond to investor inquiries, partly in coordination with other senior members of Lonza
Assist in coordinating with ESG rating providers to collect and provide necessary data with the ultimate goal to improve Lonza’s rating performance by supporting the implementation of improvements
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, peer benchmarking, and valuation modeling to support investor messaging and positioning
Assist in the organization of investor events, earnings calls, roadshows, and conferences
Monitor analyst reports, shareholder feedback, market trends, and competitor activity to help inform strategic investor relations initiatives
Maintain and update IR databases, investor targeting lists, and engagement logs.
Key requirements
1–4 years of professional experience in investor relations (preferred) or a capital markets, equity research, investment banking or corporate finance environment, or a similar analytical role.
Strong financial competence, including accounting knowledge, advanced financial modeling, and valuation skills (DCF, SOTP, comps, M&A multiples).
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize sophisticated financial information for a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated knowledge of ESG topics and reporting standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, FactSet, CapIQ) is a plus.
Meticulous, highly organized and independent, and capable of running multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Experience or familiarity with the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is helpful but not required
MBA with finance-related focus or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA or progress toward CFA/CPA a plus.
