The Head of Utilities is responsible for all maintenance activities related to power plant and gelatin preparation. Activities include corrective and preventive maintenance, continuous improvement and small replacement projects. In this role the person is also the first point of contact for regulatory inspections related to his area of responsibility!
Key responsibilities:
- Guarantee maximum availability of all installations and maintain all supporting equipment in order to optimize overall reliability.
- Coordinate daily troubleshooting in a structured way
- Optimize and maintain the utilities preventive maintenance plan
- Coach and manage a team of 5 Utilities technicians
- Manage maintenance contracts with external partners
- Support our engineering initiatives from designing initiatives through implementing them
- Facilitate continuous improvement efforts in the team
- Main point of contact for regulatory inspections for the power plant and gel prep
- Ensure that EHS, GMP and ISO regulations are applied, therefore work closely together with the EH&S department.
Key requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in electro-mechanics
- Hands on engineering problem solving experience
- Previous people management experience is a plus, but we are rather looking for the right engineer to lead our utility team
- Proficient Dutch and English language skills
