Role: Global Supply Chain Planning Manager

Location: Hyderabad, India

Summary

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of standardized Supply Chain Planning and scheduling processes and systems across Lonza’s global platforms and sites. This role ensures effective implementation of planning tools, documentation, and training to enable consistent and efficient supply chain operations. The planner will also identify improvement opportunities in processes, systems, and data structures to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

• Support deployment of Supply Planning and Scheduling processes, tools, and data structures in platforms and sites as part of the Integrated Supply Chain Planning initiative.
• Design and support system functionality to enable Planning processes within global supply chain projects.
• Coordinate configuration and localization of global standard solutions to ensure applicability across business units and sites.
• Develop training materials and modules for Planning processes and tools; deliver training to local teams and key users.
• Create and maintain documentation to form part of the Supply Chain roll-out package and training programs.
• Support strategic initiatives to ensure Planning processes contribute to continuous improvement across the division.
• Drive insights across global supply chain functions to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of planning processes with business needs and global standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in supply chain planning.
• Proven experience in global project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills & Competencies

Technical-

• Strong SAP experience
• Expertise in at least one planning system: OMP, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, SAP APO, etc. (preferably OMP).

• Experience in process documentation, deployment, and training delivery.
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Quick Learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes rapidly.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities and driving initiatives forward.

Good to Have-

- Life Sciences or FMCG experience
