Global Master Data Supply Chain Lead

As the Global Master Data Supply Chain Lead, you will shape how critical supply chain master data is created, governed, and scaled across our global ERP landscape—enabling accurate planning, compliant manufacturing, and operational excellence across Lonza’s sites worldwide.

What you will do:

• Lead and develop a centralized global Master Data Supply Chain team, acting as both people manager and hands-on subject matter expert.  

• Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of supply chain master data in SAP, including material masters, BOMs, recipes, routings, and quality-related data objects.

• Partner closely with manufacturing sites, supply chain planners, finance, quality, MES, and global data teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely master data delivery.

• Drive standardization and best practices across ERP processes, supporting consistent execution across Lonza’s global manufacturing network.

• Lead knowledge transfer and operational transition activities as processes move into the Global Master Data team, establishing strong governance and data quality controls.

• Monitor master data KPIs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve data quality, cycle times, and right-first-time performance.

• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in collaboration with global supply chain and data stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Management, IT, Mathematics, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience in supply chain master data, data management, or data migration within complex, regulated environments.

• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP ERP and supply chain master data (MM/PP), with the ability to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

• Experience leading and developing teams, including coaching, workload planning, and guiding teams through change and transition.

• A structured, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to data quality and governance.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.

• Business-fluent English and the ability to operate confidently in a global environment.
