Role Purpose:The Global Documentation and Lifecycle Lead – Standard Materials is responsible for the global lifecycle management of documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS), with a specific focus on documents related to Lonza Standard Materials (including raw materials, chemicals, and single-use materials).This role ensures that documentation processes meet regulatory requirements and internal standards, supporting Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and operational excellence globally across Lonza. This role is key to enabling efficient, compliant, and lean document control processes that support the company’s global material strategy

What you will do:
  
- Manages the end-to-end lifecycle of global documents related to Standard Materials, ensuring alignment with QMS and regulatory expectations.
- Develops and maintains document control procedures, templates, and workflows to support consistent and compliant documentation practices across global sites.
- Ensures accurate classification, version control, approval routing, and archival of controlled documents, including SOPs, specifications, and technical standards.
- Leads process improvement initiatives to streamline document workflows, reduces complexity, and implements automation where feasible.
- Authors and maintains SOPs, work instructions, and process maps related to document management and quality systems.
- Provides training and support to global stakeholders on document control systems, processes, and GDP requirements
- Drives harmonization and standardization of documentation related to raw materials, chemicals, and single-use systems across global manufacturing sites.
- In-depth understanding of Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and GxP requirements in a regulated environment.
- Experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and eQMS platforms (e.g., Veeva, DMS, TrackWise).
- Strong knowledge of document control principles, metadata management, and versioning.
- Familiarity with global material management processes, including raw materials, chemicals, and single-use systems.
- Proficiency in process mapping, workflow design, and automation tools to drive efficiency.
- Ability to write and maintain clear, structured, and compliant SOPs and controlled documents.
